The Center

The Center for Experimental and Clinical Imaging Technologies (EXCITE) Zurich is an interdisciplinary network of scientists dedicated to the development of innovative biomedical imaging solutions serving basic as well as clinical science and to translate novel technology into improved patient management.

The EXCTE network comprises more than 50 scientists from the ETH Zurich (ETH), Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), the University Hospitals (USZ and associated hospitals) and the University of Zurich (UZH) and is dedicated toward the development of biomedical imaging technology serving both basic and clinical science. It promotes interaction between its stakeholders working in various fields of biomedical imaging (research). An important objective of EXCITE Zurich is to provide interdisciplinary education for the next generation of imaging scientists to help bolster the international standing of biomedical imaging in the Zurich area (education).
